I am very thankful to the Lord for allowing me to be here in the land of the FREE!! I know that my freedom (earthly) is paid for by the many men and women who put THEIR life on the line every day for you and I. I do not take that for granted! We live in the most wonderful country on earth!

To the men and women of the armed forces Thank You just isn’t enough, but it’s what we have to offer. I pray for your safety and quick return to your families.

45 Years Strong!

Wow, time certainly flies. Do you remember when you were say around 10 or so?? Christmas took FOREVER to get here!! Time seemed to just crawl then. Well now it seems to fly by. It feels like yesterday when we were celebrating my parents 25th anniversary.

God has blessed me in so many ways but one of the biggest blessing has been my parents. They have always been there for me. No matter what! They are my best friends. They love the Lord and not only taught us about Him and His love through instruction but through their actions. I can honestly say I have memories of my Daddy reading his bible and reading it to us! My Mom too. We pick at Daddy and say that if you had a biblical question you had better ask it before 7p.m. because you would be lucky to go to bed by midnight! But when we would ask these questions I loved how Daddy would sort of glow when he would explain the answer. You didn’t really mind getting in bed after midnight.

There are so many little things through out the years that have meant so very much to me. But what has meant the most has been their unconditional love for us kids and Jesus Christ our Savior. Even when we were in trouble, my brother, sister and I never once felt like we weren’t loved. We had a wonderful childhood in spite of everything (different story maybe someday) and that is because of our Parents.

Thank you Mom and Dad for always loving us, being there, letting us all come back home at some point and time. For listening to me even when you didn’t agree, for having our back and for showing us the way to Calvary!! I love you more than I could ever say.

Great Weekend

It truly has been a great weekend. I’ve been working on images and capturing images. Had a wonderful engagement session yesterday and they made me feel so good. They told me that it wasn’t like sitting stiff for portraits. That it was more like sitting chillin and talking, Wow. That’s exactly what I want the session to feel like. We got some great photos but I can’t share them just yet. They’re coming up though.
Here’s a few I got this last week so cute.

Well, I guess these really aren’t anytime. It’s when they are home. This is my handsome brother and his beautiful wife. They were home at Christmas and of course we had to have new photos!! They were a lot of fun and since Sara loves photography too they are always game for whatever I want to do. Here are a few of my favs.

Well today I hit 100 fans on Facebook! I had a little contest that once I hit 100 I’d give away a $25 gift card. The winner has been selected and notified. It was a lot of fun watching the numbers rise. Now I know 100 is a drop in the bucket compare to what most people have, but hey, I’m getting there!

I am so excited to post this treasure for so many reasons. This is from a baby session last year. We had to go for a second session to get this shot and still almost didn’t. But thanks to the quick actions of Mama, we got the shot. Check it out, it’s one of my favs.

Losing Focus

I’ve been getting so caught up in how behind I am I’m losing focus.

First and foremost I want to honor God! He is my life and my salvation. I want to show His love and mercy through my photography.

I want to show people how uniquely beautiful they really are!

I want to make people’s eyes light up and their faces glow with joy and excitement when they see their photos!

I want to make people cry… in a good way!

Most importantly I want to help people remember. Remember someones’ laugh, their dimple, the way they talked and loved. I don’t want people to ever forget someone special, someone they loved.

This is my Dad and his Mom, my Mawmaw also known as Tessie.

The kids in this photo are so very special to me, their also family.

First off, I totally forgot about my last post. I had a good guess but it’s a smaller pine tree. I thought it was unusual and looked like a spider web.
