Can’t you just go there with these pictures? I can see clothes hanging out on the line, kids playing in the yard. Mama milking the cow and Daddy plowing the field. I see daisies and butterflies, mason jars and fireflies. I hear the sound of the screen door slamming, boots stomping on the porch. A tin bucket clanging, kids laughing and birds singing. I smell the fresh air, animals, and the dirt.
Oh, it takes me back. My Great Grandfather’s house looked something like this but it was taller. It was what was called a dog trot house. It was open through the middle so that during the summer months the heat from the kitchen wouldn’t heat the bed rooms. So yes, the bedrooms were on one side of the house and across the opening was the kitchen, eating area and sitting room.
I love old houses!!

I’m trying out a couple of new vendors and I must say I am truly impressed. All the companies have been so helpful and kind. I hope to have samples to post soon.
I know my post have been few, but I’m so busy processing photos and most of them I can’t post here. But I will do my best to have some before the end of the week.
